HOLIDAY PARK ASSISTANT

HOLIDAY PARK ASSISTANT

Based in beautiful Eildon Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park (JCMHP) is looking for an assistant to help with maintenance, development and customer service requirements.

This position is to assist and ensure that all amenities, facilities and surrounds are maintained and presented to a high standard of quality reflecting the needs and expectations of customers.

Working with a team to conduct work activities to deliver the "Premier Holiday Park Experience" at Eildon and beyond.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Report to the Holiday Park manager.
  • Work to a high standard to maintain services, facilities that are attractive to potential guests and delivering expectations of new and current users.
  • Carry out foreshore maintenance and park cleaning services as identified / instructed.
  • Work effectively with others to maintain services as required.
  • Understand organisational goals and objectives to help effectively and efficiently achieve these objectives.
  • Work within company HR policies and procedures.
  • Work in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Help with the regular maintenance and scheduled servicing of all equipment including but not limited to; heavy machinery, vehicles, motor bikes, small motor equipment, pumps, winches, workshop equipment, washing machines, dryers, and playgrounds.
  • Liaison with customers at the Holiday Park

Organisational Development

  • Work closely with manager and staff in identifying opportunities for productivity gains, workplace continuous improvement, performance enhancement and skill acquisition.
  • Be open to assessment and implementation of opportunities for change where appropriate.

In addition to the duties as specified, the following standards/duties shall apply:

Customer Services Standards

  • Promote the JCMHP customer service charter through the management and compliance with JCMHP Park Rules.
  • Provide a consistently high level of service to our customers in a prompt and pleasant manner.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt registration of all customer requests within the JCMHP request system and respond to assigned requests within a prescribed timeframe.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and confidentiality in dealing with our customers and each other.
  • Develop individual skills and knowledge that will better serve our customers.

Occupational Health & Safety/Risk Management

  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for the health and safety of anyone else who may be affected by your acts or omissions at the workplace.
  • Co-operate with your employer with respect to any action taken by the employer to comply with any requirement imposed by or under the Health & Safety Acts, Work Safe Regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Work within Occupational Health & Work Safe Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.

  • Identify training and development needs for yourself and participate in training programmes for improvement.

This position exercises significant independent judgement in regard to:

  • Interpretation, assessment and advice relating to the delivery of JCMHP customer expectations and services;

Bar Attendant

Bar Attendant

The Bar allrounder will serve alcohol under the regulations of the Responsible Service of Alcohol charter as well as perform other activities required by the business. Some of these tasks are serving in the supermarket, assisting with deliveries, activity hire, fuel calls, clearing tables, cleaning, stock checks, stock rotation & coffee making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Serve alcohol to customers within the RSA guidelines
  • In a timely & professional manner where required delivery prepared meals to customers to ensure they are received while still hot
  • Process food orders, drink requests & supermarket purchases through the relevant register
  • Make Coffee
  • Mark off deliveries & ensure the delivery docket / invoice match the stock received.
  • Put stock away following the stock rotation guidelines
  • Attend to fuel calls
  • Answer phone & two-way radio calls
  • Process activity hires & where necessary physically walk customers through the hire requirements
  • Boatel check ins
  • Other reasonable duties as required
  • Maintain a positive & professional approach with co-workers & customers

Qualifications /Skills:

Required

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Customer Service Focus
  • Have a Team Player attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.

Desired

  • Experience working in the hospitality industry

Equipment Management:

  • Ability to identify faulty equipment in a timely manner & identify the cause of the issue so that maintenance can be arranged. Relay this to the supervisor or a member of the Management Team.

Liaison / Representation:

  • Liase with all staff and Management at Jerusalem Creek Marina & Holiday Park (JCMHP)
  • Communicate with Customers in a respectful & professional manner

Planning:

  • Have the ability to manage your activities for the day / week to ensure completion
  • When allocated a task of responsibility such as ordering ensure it is submitted to allow sufficient time for delivery and any other activities required prior to the need of the items.
  • Time Management

  • Provide a consistently high level of customer service & promote JCMHP & SCHP in a pleasant manner

Junior

Junior

The Junior allrounder will perform activities as per the roster unless a need is seen by the Shift Supervisor to move to another area within the business on the day. Duties to perform may include taking orders on the Takeaway / Bistro register, serving customers in the Supermarket, preparing hot drinks for customers, clearing tables, cleaning, stocking shelves, issuing gate passes, doing dishes & assisting in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Take customer orders for meals and non-alcoholic beverages at the Takeaway or Bistro Register
  • Prepare hot beverages & milkshakes ordered by customers
  • Deliver customer meals & drinks using the method nominated on the day
  • Process supermarket purchases through the relevant register
  • Assist to make the Bistro & store ready for service
  • Assist customers with queries
  • Clear tables, (this includes cleaning the table & chairs, taking dishes to the kitchen, scraping them, wiping salt & pepper shakers, emptying utensil holders and sterilising them
  • Assist with dishes when requested to by the shift supervisor
  • Assist in the kitchen when requested to by the shift supervisor
  • Polish Cutlery
  • Cleaning
  • Stocking shelves
  • Issuing Gate passes
  • Other reasonable duties as required
  • Maintain a positive & professional approach with co-workers & customers

Qualifications /Skills:

  • If over 18 RSA certificate is desired but not essential

Jerusalem Creek

Jerusalem Creek Marina & Holiday Park has been owned by Bruce & Toni Vance since 2009. The Business has been operating since 1932.  It is an extremely diverse business with an aim to create unique experiences.

The business consists of a 130 birth Marina located behind café 501 bar & grill, a 200 site caravan park, fuel barge, mini supermarket, bottle shop, bistro, bar, takeaway food, accommodation & activity hires. There are a range of services we also provide such as Houseboat slipping & Maintenance.

The Marina & Holiday Park has a beautiful backdrop of Lake Eildon situated in North Central Victoria. Creating a uniquely positive experience which encourages our customers to return time & time again.

It is the goal of Jerusalem Creek marina & Holiday Park to create a world class facility & a memorable experience for all who use & visit our facilities.

Our clientele are mostly tourists & we find ourselves as busy as we could possibly be during the 12-16 week peak season.
